Engineering & Product Testing

The engineering phase can cover many different disciplines of “engineering”. We can provide electrical & printed circuit board engineering, mechanical engineering, and design for manufacture (DFM) services to transition an idea into something that can be manufactured. Since the engineering phase tends to cover a variety of expertise, this is usually the most intensive portion of a product design project. This is the point at which design artwork/direction is turned into a dimensionally accurate 3D CAD model and developed in a way that produces manufacturable components. Manufacturing drawings are created from the 3D model and used to build the first physical prototypes of the new product.

Another important aspect of the product development cycle is ensuring the products are engineered and tested to pass certain industry standards for safety and efficiency. We offer in-house testing services to validate functionality and to confirm the products pass more stringent criteria as determined by a variety of international standards (UL, NSF, ASTM, etc.).
